Hawaii gas prices up 90 cents in past year
The average price of gas in Hawaii has increased 90 cents in the past year.
The statewide average price for regular unleaded reached a record $4.31 per gallon Wednesday, up from $3.41 a year ago.
Honolulu-area gas prices increased to a record $4.33, compared to $3.94 a month ago and $3.37 a year ago, according to AAA.
In Hilo, gas is $4.33, compared to $3.94 a month ago and $3.37 a year ago.
Wailuku gas prices hit $4.54. Fuel there is up from $4.26 a month ago and $3.75 a year ago.
The average price of a gallon of gas is most expensive in California, where it costs $4.60. Gas is cheapest in Missouri, at $3.83.
